Red, White and Blue

Happy 4th of July!! This is such a great time to throw a party for all your friends and family and decorating is such a breeze because the theme is already picked out for you: red, white and blue! Here are some of my favorite festive party ideas this year:

When planning a party one of the first things I do, besides coming up with a theme, is decide on the food menu. Once you have the theme and menu the rest sort of falls in place. For the Fourth I really love this sangria recipe courtesy of Imagine Design made with fresh red, white and blue fruit.  The best party of this cocktail choice is it is really easy to make sangria…I mean really really easy! Another cute idea…the rocket dogs below, these are perfect for the kiddos.

You know I have to include a special section on desserts! Here are a few that I really love and are quick to make…with a crazy two year old running around everything I make these days can be done in just minutes! Another thing that has changed with desserts around the Jolley house is almost everything now includes fruit, I try to get in some healthier options whenever I can. These desserts would be perfect for us this year…I am also including a VERY simple candy display because sometimes less really is more.
